Bleeding LIVE at The Retreat Hotel Brunswick w/ Rickfean + Momoko Rose & The Frud

Main Room / Door $7

Bleeding Peach the self-confessed emo singer songwriter guitarist, supporting hip hop up and comings Rickfean and Stazi. He blends emotionally driven lyrics with a soulful sound as a solo acoustic act and with a band. Difficult to describe, some may say, but influences include City and Colour, Fall Out Boy, and Luke Pickett.

Rickfean has been brought up with Hip hop, levant rap, technoxhiphop, Afro pop, Nigerian alte, alternate/indie, dance/electronic, jazz/disco/house with influences from Lil Wayne to Jid, and Lupe to twit one. “My sound as an artist is absolute and everywhere it’s based on feeling and not dependent on one theme/narrative/genre, my music is always changing and in tune with my experiences/way of life. The purpose of my artistry is to create awareness, for myself and my listeners, growing worth consciousness, hope for my dreams and hope for the kids and the world as a whole.” – RF.

Melbourne misfit Momoko Rose wields her vulnerability as an instrument of healing. As a Japanese-Australian artist, her music explores realms of ambiguity and contradiction, embodying both wistfulness and wit. Momoko’s feminine aesthetic is charged with masculine energy, challenging conventions with edgy softness. Drawing inspiration from otherworldly women in R&B and folk — Björk, Raveena, Joanna Newsom and Japanese singer Ichiko Aoba — Momoko crafts ethereal soundscapes, with lush chords pierced by dynamic beats. Despite her first love for folk music, her sound is constantly evolving and breaks genre boundaries.

The Frud are Melbourne's latest 3 piece Frogressive rock trio with members from several previous bands.
